What is Braddock Coaching?
Braddock Coaching is an executive coaching program that aims develop executive skills, their staff's skills and the awareness of themselves to improve how their organization functions.
Our approach is an humanistic view that blends eastern and western philosophies as well as research backed approaches to organizational behaviors.
Our method values collaboration, competition, dignity and integrity in the way we show up and work. We compete with our competitors, we collaborate with each other.
Braddock Coaching works best for someone who is looking to improve their skills as a leader or manager. Someone who is struggling with some aspect of their career and is seeking a new outlook. In simple terms: someone who is looking learn and is open to change.
The Foundations to Our Approach
- We draw heavily from Chris Holmberg's Middle Path Frameworks. We have been applying Middle Path since 2010 and cerfitied since 2022.
- We utilize the official DiSC Behavioral Assesments and other works of Dr William Moulton Marsten.
- We approach innovation useing the Lean Productivity Methods pioneered by Eric Reis and Steve Blank.
- Our method is also influenced by the following research, researchers and philosophers:
- Joseph Campbell's work on human transformation and growth through myth
- Ken Wilbur - I,We,It view of human experience
- 'Crossing the Gap' approach to problem solving
- Martin Buber - structures of relationships
- Robert Carkhuff - performance research
- Carl Rogers - components of healthy human relationships
What this looks like?
I offer two services:
- Coaching - one on one, professional development
- Consulting - working with an organization to improve their performance
In either case what you can expect is to perform an assessment of your current needs and goals and then a balanced approach that is supported by frameworks and scientifically validated approaches.
About Me
My name is Chris Henley. I have been coaching professionally for over 5 years. I am certified in Middle Path Coaching. Chris Holmberg, the founder of Middle Path, has been my mentor since 2010. I have had dozens of clients in various industries from tech, AI, robotics, manufacturing, and health industries. I work out of southern California.
Professionally, I have been an executive since 2007 and work as an SVP of Engineering at an established e-Commerce company. I have led teams as large as 155 people. Throughout my professional journey I have taken start ups from start to $700M. I have managed Engineering, Product, Quality, and Security Teams. I have been designing and implementing distributed organizations since 2008.
Many of my team members have gone on to become VPs, SVPs and C-Level roles. Several have become founders.
Personally, I'm a long-time nerd. I play dungeons & dragons. I write literary fantasy stories and novels. I also love sports and will watch any sport I catch on tv. I read. A lot.
